Top 5 Reasons to check out Youth Group
Friday nights from 7-9pm!

The Elvis Couch

5)  Cheaper than the Burlington Mall

Youth Group is free!  And you'll get the same things you're looking for at the mall:  Fun, food, and you'll meet new teens.

4)  Feed Muggie

Muggie is a sweet lil homeless girl that lives at our church.  She eats cooked broccoli and bruises easily.

Nah we're kidding.  This is Maggie, one of our teens in the youth group.  She'll make you feel welcome.. especially if you bring her cooked broccoli.

3)  Improve your life

Statistics have shown that teens that have an active church life can:

  • increase the average life expectancy by 8 years
  • dramatically lower the risk of suicide
  • improve your odds for a "very happy" life
  • increase your self esteem

Statistics taken from barna.org

2)  Better relationships with family and friends

Let's face it, your family and your friends are a HUGE part of your life.  A two hour investment on Friday nights can help you learn how to improve your relationships with both family and friends.

1)  Grow your relationship with God

What's so great about getting to know God  better?  As your relationship grows, you'll get a better understanding of what God wants you to do with your life and how we are to live in this world.

Youth Group is currently on summer break and will resume in Fall 2010. (Check the calendar page for the latest updates) Youth Group is for both Junior High and High School students.  On a typical evening we will play sports outside (weather permitting) or a fun game or activity indoors.  Then we'll break into smaller groups using that time to learn and grow our faith through either an interactive lesson, bible study, prayer, or working on a project.

If your teen is visiting us for the first time, please download and bring a completed Visitor Form.  Thank you!

If your home was burning down and you could only grab one item what would it be and why? (excluding people and pets):  My photos.  So many wonderful memories from my life and from youth ministry are in my photos.  Many things in my home can be replaced but those photos can't.
Number of years in youth ministry:  8
Reason for being in youth ministry:  Being a teenager in America today is harder than it was when I was a teen. Many teens come from difficult family situations and learn negative ways of dealing with the stress that life brings. I want to help them. And I love being with them, playing and talking with them, and most of all helping them become strong men and women of God.
