The churches in Haiti do not have hymnals, Bibles, or pianos.  Some of the people bring their own Bibles from home to church.  Some of the churches hold their worship service under unfinished buildings.  The churches in Haiti would like to have church buildings. When it rains, the people go home. Similarly for school, when it rains, the children go home, because there is no building.

Mission Statement for Haiti churches: To educate children who cannot afford government schools.  Government schools are free in the U.S., but not in Haiti.

Goals:

  • To raise $40,000 to build churches and school buildings, and to build a house for the pastor.
  • To hook up electricity throughout the neighborhood.
  • To help start building the other 5 churches under their care throughout the country.

What makes Haiti different than the U.S.?

  • No free education
  • No free medical care
  • No food or other support for orphans
  • No retirement plans
  • No insurance
  • Poor road quality – jeeps required to travel to churches in the mountains

How you can help

You may send contributions to:

Contributions such as money are very helpful.  Other items that are in need are supplies such as pencils, paper, and chalk.  These supplies are cheaper to buy in the U.S. than in Haiti.
