Building Fund Recap
 
 
Good Afternoon! 
 
I'd like to give you a quick recap of the things we hope to accomplish at our church in the near future. Our goal is to put a two floor addition that is approximately 35x30 feet in size. The downstairs will have 3 or 4 classrooms depending on what size mechanical room is required. It will also have a center corridor that leads to an elevator to be used primarily for any handicap or elderly persons wishing access to the 2nd floor. The elevator will also be used by people who work at the church for easy accessability between floors. The rear entrance to the church will have a ramp too, so that we will be fully handicap compliant. The existing kitchen will be moved to where the nursery and rest rooms are. The new handicap accessible rest rooms will be where the existing kitchen is. The second floor will feature a large meeting room, a secretary's office, the Pastor's office, a kitchenette, rest room, elevator and the corridor leading to the sanctuary and nursery (old ladies parlor). We will be installing a new heating system throughout the entire church as well as a fire alarm system. The new addition will also have a sprinkler system. We are hoping to add more parking spaces as well. It is also our intention to spruce up the sanctuary with a new paint job and hopefully replace all the windows. The exterior of the building will be tackled as well. We would like to dress up the grounds with some landscaping and provide better illumination around the building. We are still waiting for the report from the company that is surveying the property to find out if it's feasible to sell the parsonage and build a new one behind the church. If it is, we still have to go before the town board for approval. That's it!
